Short Terms Missions Trip to Ghana, West Africa

Two men from Berean Bible Church volunteered  to help build a small church in Ghana, West Africa. With the prayerful and financial help of many at Berean Bible Church, they were successful in accomplishing this goal. The church was built in the village of Dominase. Bill Wyckoff and Terry Treadwell joined the crew on week #2 of this two week project. The church was completed during this week. Their objective was to build the roof and pour the concrete floor for the building.  The nationals painted the church on the final two days as volunteers worked to finish up.  The photos were taken throughout the week of their stay.

Our mission is to lead people to Christ and help them grow as His followers.

The trusses, made of mahogany, were built by the men on the first week. Bill and Terry mark the trusses, preparing them for installation.
The first truss goes up.  Many nationals watched the progress. Bill Wyckoff helping get the trusses on top of the walls.
Every day 20 - 50 children were on site. The workers had to be mindful of them. Terry Treadwell nailing purlins in place on the trusses.
All trusses up and many purlins on by the end of the first day, Monday. A woman and her little one stop by to watch the progress.
After dinner, all collected for evening devotions. Their living accommodations were very good. This termite mound was along side the road where their van broke down on the way back, Tuesday afternoon. It broke down at least 8 times that evening.
Locals ran along vehicles trying to sell fresh bread each morning. Small businesses along the roadside in every village and town.
