Berean Bible Church Sends Men to Dominican Republic

Two men from Berean Bible Church volunteered for a short term missions trip to help build a medical/dental facility in the Dominican Republic. Again, this was organized through CWE - Construction for Worldwide Evangelism. (www.cweforthegospelsake.org)  CWE's motto is "Building lives with buildings as a by-product."  Those lives involved in constructing the building are affected as well as those who benefit from having the facility in their community.  It is all 'for the Gospel's sake.' The following photos were taken by Andy Hessler while he and Tom Goehring helped construct the roof on the facility.

The construction site is just east of the capital, Santo Domingo, on the Southern border.

The level of progress accomplished by the day they arrived. Many of the walls were up.

Trusses began going up on the first full day of work for this team.

Each truss was engineered in 2 pieces in order to ship them to the location.

Here, one side spans to a bearing wall. A second part will attach it to the opposite wall.

Adding the end piece of a truss to span the outside wall..
