Short Term Missions Trip to Swaziland, South Africa

Scott Docherty was led to return to Swaziland for the period, March 24-31, 2006.  His initial trip, taken in the Spring of 2004, was a calling from God.  He was confident he was to go and was truly blessed by the experience.  He returned this year to continue planting gardens for families in the communities throughout Swaziland. The project is call "Never-Ending Gardens" and helps the nationals become self sufficient in growing other crops besides corn.  They are taught to plant, maintain and harvest their gardens several times each year, due to the long growing season.

This trip has had another profound impact on Scott's life.  It has opened his eyes to consider larger aspects in life.  He has come away with a very close bond with one of the men in Swaziland and has become a better man, husband and father for having lived this experience.  Scott is obedient to God's call on his life and has been blessed for it.
